A US-rooted franchisor with ~7,400 properties across midscale and economy brands, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland. Acquired the Radisson Americas portfolio in 2022, broadening the upscale end of the catalogue.

Base earning is 10 points / USD. Tier thresholds: Gold (10 nights), Platinum (20), Diamond (40). Status benefits are modest — a free drink and 10-25% bonus points are typical. The headline value is the program's reliability rather than premium recognition.
Choice properties accept points for free nights at award rates that are often lower than cash rates at value-tier properties — useful for road trips and conference-stay redemptions.

- Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites are NOT the same product despite the
shared brand name. Suites is consistently the better build; Inn varies by franchise.
- The post-Radisson-Americas integration was relatively smooth; status
match between Choice Privileges and the former Radisson Rewards Americas was handled in early 2023.
- Choice's mobile app and digital experience lag the big chains by a
noticeable margin. Booking through choicehotels.com or a third party often gives a better view of available rates.
