Premium is the smaller set of tools that act on your travel instead of recording it: deciding a redemption, routing a trip to hold status, reading the spend behind it, feeding it into your other tools.

The optimiser is the one worth explaining: it turns a pile of balances into a decision. Is this redemption actually worth it, or are you burning 60,000 miles on a €300 flight? Where does routing one more trip keep your status another year? That's the question a spreadsheet can answer and no points app will.
What happens when you pay
Access opens immediately. There is nothing to install and nothing to wait for. You get a receipt by email. A Founders' seat never expires.
Premium runs for twelve months and then stops. There is no automatic renewal and we hold no payment mandate, so nothing can leave your account without you deciding again. A month before it ends you get one email: your access ends on this date, here is the button for another year. Ignore it and nothing is taken. Premium lapses back to the free account and every record you have put in stays exactly where it is. If we ever offer automatic renewal it will be a switch you turn on, never a default, and never applied to something you already bought.
Changed your mind? Because access starts at once, you are asked at checkout to agree that this ends the 14-day right of withdrawal, and that agreement is the only reason we can open it immediately. If something is wrong, mail hello@pelgrim.app: within the first fourteen days you get your money back without an argument.
