Pelgrim stands on a lot of open data. These are the sources we build on, and the licences they carry.
OpenStreetMap
Our worldwide hotel catalogue and the places on the map come from OpenStreetMap, built by a global community of mappers. Map and place data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). See the OpenStreetMap copyright page for the full terms.
OurAirports
Our worldwide airport directory — 85,000+ airports, from major international hubs down to remote airstrips, heliports and seaplane bases — is imported from OurAirports, an open community-built database of airports around the world. It supplies the airport codes, locations, elevations, runways and other reference data behind every airport page on Pelgrim. OurAirports data is released into the public domain, and we're grateful to the volunteers who keep it current.
GeoNames
City, region and other geographic reference data comes from GeoNames, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence.
Satellite & base maps
Satellite imagery © Esri, Maxar & Earthstar Geographics. Base map tiles via CARTO, rendered with MapLibre GL.
A note on the rest
Flight schedule and live-status data is provided by our aviation data partner. Time-zone, airport and airline reference data is assembled from public sources. If you believe something here is missing an attribution it deserves, tell us at hello@pelgrim.app and we'll put it right.
