These terms govern your use of Pelgrim.
These terms govern your use of Pelgrim. By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to them.
If you don't agree, don't use the service. Plain and simple.
The service
Pelgrim is a travel-log and trip-planning product. We store the flights, hotel stays, and trips you import
or enter, plus a public catalog of branded hotels sourced from OpenStreetMap.
Your account
You must be 16 or older to create an account.
You're responsible for keeping your password secret and for everything that happens on your account.
If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately and tell us.
Acceptable use
Don't do any of the following with Pelgrim:
- Probe, scan, or attempt to breach the service's security.
- Scrape or bulk-extract data using automated means beyond reasonable personal use.
- Use the service to harass, deceive, or violate the rights of others.
- Upload content you don't have the right to use.
- Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written agreement.
Sharing and your content
You decide what to share. Share links and public profiles only ever show what you've allowed, and you can
revoke a link at any time. When you share a trip or post content — photos, notes, guestbook messages — you
confirm you have the right to share it and that it doesn't expose other people's private information without
their consent. You're responsible for who you hand a share link to.
Pricing
The core product is free. A premium tier with additional features may be introduced. If you've signed
up under the free tier, the free tier continues to exist for you; we won't bait-and-switch.
Currency for any future paid plans defaults to euros.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable but we can't guarantee uninterrupted
availability, error-free operation, or that data sources we query (Google Flights, OpenSky, etc.) will
always return correct information. Verify anything critical before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, Pelgrim and its operator are not liable for any indirect,
incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Direct damages,
if any, are capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
You can delete your account any time from settings. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these
terms, with or without notice depending on severity. On termination we'll delete your data per the
schedule in the privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts in Amsterdam, unless local consumer protection laws say otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email and on the homepage.
Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
