The Pelgrim browser extension

Open a loyalty-program page, click once, and your points, status, and tier progress land in Pelgrim. No passwords, no credentials shared with us, just a snapshot of the page you choose.

During alpha the extension isn't in the Chrome Web Store yet, so you install it manually. It takes about two minutes: download and load it, then click Connect to Pelgrim and authorize. No token to copy by hand.

Step 1 — Download and install

↓ Download the extension (.zip)

  1. Unzip the download. You'll get a pelgrim-extension folder, keep it somewhere you won't delete (it stays on your computer).
  2. Open Chrome and go to chrome://extensions.
  3. Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  4. Click Load unpacked and select the pelgrim-extension folder.
  5. The Pelgrim icon (blue paper plane) appears in your toolbar. Click the puzzle-piece icon and pin it.

Works the same in Edge and Brave (edge://extensions too). Loading unpacked is normal and safe, it's just how extensions run before they're in the store.

Step 2 — Connect it to your account

  1. Click the Pelgrim icon in your toolbar.
  2. Click Connect to Pelgrim. A tab opens on https://pelgrim.app.
  3. Sign in if needed, then click Authorize this extension.
  4. Done. Reopen the popup and you'll see your programs. No token to copy by hand.

Connecting creates a personal token for you automatically (the extension never sees your password). You can view and revoke it in the optional section below.

Manual setup & tokens — optional

You only need this for a self-hosted Pelgrim, or if you'd rather paste a token by hand instead of using Connect. Create a token here and paste it into the extension's Settings. It's shown only once, so copy it when it appears.

Sign in to generate your token. You need a Pelgrim account (invite-only during alpha).

Using it

  1. Open a loyalty-program page (Accor, Marriott, Flying Blue, IHG, and so on) and log in as normal.
  2. Click the Pelgrim icon, then Capture & send.
  3. The extension takes a snapshot of the page and sends it to your account. The balance lands in your rewards ledger, points, status, and tier progress, ready to use.

The extension only ever reads the page when you click it, and sends only to your own Pelgrim account. It never sees your loyalty passwords. See the privacy policy for the detail.

Landing on the wrong page, or need more than one page (an overview plus an activity feed)? Set the exact URLs in the Your program pages section of each program's page (open it from the Rewards overview). The extension opens them in order and captures each.

Tip: for multi-page programs the extension shows a reminder between pages. Desktop reminders only appear if your system allows notifications for your browser (on macOS: System Settings → Notifications → your browser → Allow) and you're not in a Focus / Do Not Disturb mode, which suppress all notifications. The in-popup banner and the number on the toolbar icon work regardless, so you never depend on the desktop reminder.
